Walking Football is back for 2021

Due to popular demand, our Summer Walking Football returns for our summer football season. If you’re over 45 we would love to have you enjoy this new and exciting concept.   Medical exemptions will be considered on an application only basis for those younger than 45.

We’d love to see you get involved in Walking Football, it’s seriously the MOST SOCIAL FOOTBALL you can play.  It’s smiles all night and a great place to meet new people and get some gentle exercise without the pressure of winning.

Walking Football is non competitive and you can sign up with a whole team (min. 6 players), or as individuals (what most people do), and we’ll split you into teams each week.

The rules are simple.

  • No running
  • No high balls (nothing above waist height)
  • No Goal Keepers
  • Even number of men & women on each side
  • Coffee at Maccas after the game is optional, but encouraged.

We offer a one time come & try if you’re not sure if it’s for you and welcome all new comers.  In previous years the average age of players was 55-58 with a few younger players and a few wise older owls. In England this is the fastest growing sport amongst retired players, so don’t shy away, thinking you’re past your best….. your best football (walking) is just ahead of you this summer at Nepean Summer Football Penrith – Come join in the fun!

Over 30’s Women is a success

Last season our over 30’s women competition was an outstanding success and we are back again for the 2021 season. There will only be 12 teams allowed. Teams are 6-a-side with a max of 10 registered players in each team.

Don’t want to run after the young ones?…… Here’s your chance!  Help us continue to build the over 30’s Women’s competition this Summer Football season.

We only have 3 team positions remaining as of the 6th of October. Please send us a message on Facebook to register

2021 Summer Football season to start in December

It is with great excitement that we announce the starting date for the 2021 Summer Football season. Summer Football manager Graham Chapman announced recently that this years summer football will commence on Monday the 6th of December. ‘this has been a challenging year for grass roots football. The cancellation of our winter season and the uncertainty of community sport has placed a cloud over whether or not our summer football season would even start. We will start our summer football season on the 6th of December allowing for both vaccinated and those that are not vaccinated to both play and attend our summer football fields. We will kick start another successful summer football season with the non competition age groups starting on the opening night, with the other age groups progressively starting on the Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights. This season will be a little different as we will play in December then have a break for the school holidays resuming on the 29th of January and playing through until late March’.

Team registrations have already opened and most age groups are SOLD OUT. Player registrations will open shortly and be announced here on our website and Facebook.
