It is with great excitement that we announce the starting date for the 2020 Summer Football season. Summer Football manager Graham Chapman announced recently that this years summer football will commence on Monday the 12th of October. ‘this has been a challenging year for grass roots football. The extended winter season will conclude on Sunday the 11th of October and our team will be ready to go in what will be the fastest turnaround in our 6 year history from winter to summer. We will kick start another successful summer football season with the non competition age groups starting on the opening night, with the other age groups progressively starting on the Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights’.

Team registrations open on Tuesday the 25th of August and player registrations commence from Monday the 14th of September

Walking Football is back for 2020

Due to popular demand, our Summer Walking Football returns for our summer football season. If you’re over 45 we would love to have you enjoy this new and exciting concept.   Medical exemptions will be considered on an application only basis for those younger than 45.

We’d love to see you get involved in Walking Football, it’s seriously the MOST SOCIAL FOOTBALL you can play.  It’s smiles all night and a great place to meet new people and get some gentle exercise without the pressure of winning.

Walking Football is non competitive and you can sign up with a whole team (min. 6 players), or as individuals (what most people do), and we’ll split you into teams each week.

The rules are simple.

  • No running
  • No high balls (nothing above waist height)
  • No Goal Keepers
  • Even number of men & women on each side
  • Coffee at Maccas after the game is optional, but encouraged.

We offer a one time come & try if you’re not sure if it’s for you and welcome all new comers.  In previous years the average age of players was 55-58 with a few younger players and a few wise older owls. In England this is the fastest growing sport amongst retired players, so don’t shy away, thinking you’re past your best….. your best football (walking) is just ahead of you this summer at Nepean Summer Football Penrith – Come join in the fun!

2020 Summer Football is almost here.

On Tuesday the 25th of August you can nominate your team for the 2020 Summer Football season. Links will be uploaded to our facebook site.

Players will not have to register until the 14th of September. We will have limited teams being allowed to register due to field restrictions so set your date now in your phone and make sure you register otherwise you will miss out.

Summer Football mate verses mate!

2020 – over 30’s Women is a success

Last season our over 30’s women competition was an outstanding success and we are back again.

This year due to field restrictions we can only have a limited amount of teams participate so it will be hotly contested. There will only be 10 teams allowed. Teams are 6-a-side with a max of 10 registered players in each team.

Don’t want to run after the young ones?…… Here’s your chance!  Help us continue to build the over 30’s Women’s competition this Summer Football season.

Females who don’t want to miss out on playing with their regular Ladies team can dual register for O30’s on Wednesday nights & All Age Women on Thursday night.  Your 2nd team registration will cost an additional $130.

Non competition Summer Football a big success

Nepean Football Association gives the Non Competition Summer Football format the big tick of approval. In 2017 Nepean Summer Football will again give parents of our region the chance to let their kids run free and play in a non-threatening environment. Under 6 through to under 11 inclusive is all about fun and in accordance with FFA guidelines does not have a points table and scores are not registered. ‘it’s all about taking the pressure off kids having to win and more importantly instilling in the Parents that winning is not everything’ said Nepean Football Association General Manager Linda Cerone
