Due to popular demand, we’ve decided to open up our Summer Walking Football activities from Over 50’s only to Over 45’s and to persons with some medical conditions that prohibit them from playing regular 6-a-side. Medical exemptions will be considered on an application only basis.
We’d love to see you get involved in Walking Football, it’s seriously the MOST SOCIAL FOOTBALL you can play. It’s smiles all night at WF and a great place to meet new people and get some gentle exercise without the pressure of winning.
Walking Football is non competitive and you can sign up with a whole team (min. 6 players), or as individuals (what most people do), and we’ll split you into teams each week.
The rules are simple.
- No running
- No high balls (nothing above waist height)
- No Goal Keepers
- Even number of men & women on each side
- Coffee at Maccas after the game is optional, but encouraged.
We offer a one time come & try if you’re not sure if it’s for you and welcome all new comers. in 2018 the average age of players was 55-58 with a few younger players and a few wise older owls, so don’t shy away, thinking you’re past your best….. your best football (walking) is just ahead of you this summer at Nepean Summer Football Penrith – Come join in the fun!
